Jeff Huard is hosting a Intermediate club ride this Saturday March 11th AND a beginner ride Sunday March 12th to Mad River trailhead in the Lake Wenatchee area (some side hilling and boon docking, no big hills).
Sat March 11th I plan to do the 80 mile loop from Fish Lake are over to Mad Lake - Mad River SnoPark - 5 corners and back to Fish Lake. Much of it is on Dirt Bile trails so a good portion will be boon docking with some side hilling and hills (intermediate level). Everyone needs to pack some extra gas (2 Gal min).
It will be campout at the Airstrip Snow Park, very short sled or drive to Fish Lake SnoPark. Best if everyone would meet at Airstrip SnoPark.
Bring Beacon, probe, shovel, radio, etc,
Call / text me if interested or have questions 253-905-7697
Jeff will be planning to campout for those that want to make a weekend out of it (please let Jeff know if you are camping and which days). Airstrip Snopark allows camping and is a short distance by trail or road to Fish Lake Snopark.
Mostly Groomed trail to the upper Mad River trailhead, ungroomed 5 mile trail along the River to Mad Lake where things open up to a good play areas with lots to explore.
Tentative Agenda:
Saturday March 11th 9:00am - Meet at Air Strip Sno-park ready to ride at 9AM
If your not sure where airstrip SP is located copy and past the following waypoint into Google maps:
Saturday is the long ride and Each person should pack at least 2 Gallons of extra gas.
Please bring plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated and a sack lunch. Please have your sled topped off with gas and oil prior to the ride.
Radio (Channel 17.1)
If you are interested in riding this Saturday or Sunday campout, please email Jeff Huard at jeffry.huard@gmail.com or text or call (253)905-7697
FYI, Michelle Kercher with the Lake Wenatchee Rec Club wanted me to pass this on, they invited us to join their 6PM POT Luck Saturday with the Boondockers. I mentioned we had a long trip planned Saturday and may not get back in time.
Tentative Agenda:
Sunday March 12th 9:00am - Meet at Air Strip Sno-park ready to ride at 9AM
March 12th will be a mostly trail ride with some playing off trail. Depending on conditions and what people want to do some options (Snow Cone, Trinity and Sugar Loaf Lookout).
