Jeff Huard is hosting a Intermediate club ride this Saturday March 27th to Mad River trailhead in the Lake Wenatchee area (some side hilling and boon docking, no big hills).
Jeff will be planning to campout for those that want to make a weekend out of it (please let Jeff know if you are camping and which days). Airstrip Snopark allows camping and is a short distance by trail or road to Fish Lake Snopark. We can ride Friday and or Sunday as well, for those that want to camp.
Mostly Groomed trail to the upper Mad River trailhead, ungroomed 5 mile trail along the River to Mad Lake where things open up to a good play areas with lots to explore.
Earlier this year on Dec 28th Jeff was able to get to Mad Lake and conditions were very good (usually best accessible late season). If conditions don't allow, there are plenty of backup options.
Tentative Agenda:
9:00am - Meet at Fish Lake Sno-park
9:30am - Be Ready to Ride, Safety meeting then ride starts.
Please bring plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated and a sack lunch. Please have your sled topped off with gas and oil prior to the ride.
A two-way radio, beacon, probe and shovel are required (Channel 17.1).
If you are interested in riding this Saturday or campout, please email Jeff Huard at jeffry.huard@gmail.com or text or call (253)905-7697.
