What is this?
The Sno-Jammers will be hosting a club ride focusing on avalanche training and education. We will have a guest speaker from NWAC attending this ride who will be providing us with some companion rescue practice and avalanche awareness education.
Location: Greenwater area. Meeting at Pyramid Creek Snopark at 8am, ready to ride by 8:30am.
Basic Avalanche equipment is required: Beacon, probes, shovel and radio.
Please bring a lunch and fluids to drink as everyone is responsible for providing their own food and hydration options.
Will be meeting at Pyramid Creek Snopark outside of Greenwater on FS road 70 at 8am, and be ready to ride around 8:30am. We will head up to the Government meadows cabin where we will regroup and do some avalanche beacon training and companion rescue practice. After that; we will eat lunch and then depending on the group size and rider abilities, we will go snowmobiling and will continue to do some additional avalanche awareness education while riding. We expect to wrap up the day by 5pm.
PANDEMIC PROTOCOL:
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we must follow State/County guidelines and restrictions at the time of the ride.
The health and safety of those participating in our rides is our top priority. Please practice social distancing when not actively riding your snowmobile. "Gathering" will be discouraged. We ask that if you are experiencing any COVID related symptoms prior to this ride that you stay home and consider joining us on the next ride.
